Every Friday morning
The weekly market of Ribérac is the largest of the immediate surroundings and therefore worthwhile for those who love local products and tasting, scouting, souvernier hunting and cozy crowds. Around noon the goods are packed again, so get up in time;-)

In summer there is also a mini-mini-market on the Place Nationale on Tuesday morning: a so-called 'marché des producteurs'. Producers sell directly from the field to the customer.

TDuring the winter months - from November to March - a "marché des truffes et gras" is organised in Ribérac in parallel with the Friday market. Truffles, foie gras and duck products are sold.

In Verteillac, a 20-minute drive from La Moulinasse, every first Sunday of the month, a cosy brocante is organised all day long on the market square. During the high season there are up to 100 stalls. All the cafes and restaurants are open on this occasion, so there is plenty of opportunity to combine the bargain hunt with an aperitif or a fine lunch.

La felibrée
is an annual festival dedicated to Occitan culture and language. For three days (the firs weekend of July) there are parades, concerts, stalls, craftsmen at work,... The festival is organised every year in a different town in Dordogne, which is then beautifully decorated with 'paper' flower garlands. Unfortunately, la felibrée 2020 has been cancelled due to the virus Covid.
